A couple of months ago, Rolls-Royce launched a unique edition version of the Wraith, identified as the Kryptos Version. The motor vehicle options a series of coded messages, etched into its bodywork and inside, which the company hoped its prospects could address – but none of the car’s 50 prospective buyers have still successfully cracked the riddle.
To support its clientele together, Rolls-Royce has uncovered the answer to the code scribed on to the Wraith’s unique Spirit of Ecstasy emblem. It conceals the phrase “Kryptos” in coded cipher – and Rolls-Royce hopes that, by revealing these seven letters, it will support prospective buyers unravel the rest of the Wraith’s strategies.
Alongside with this uniquely engraved bonnet mascot, the Wraith Kryptos Edition’s exterior options a tweaked entrance bumper and a unique paint plan with an enigmatic metallic complete and a coded coachline.
The inside is a great deal the exact same tale. The car’s treadplates function a unique coded style, as does the upholstery, fascia complete and door pockets. The headlining is also adorned in a unique two-tone information-stream-style sample, though the embroidery on both equally the headrests and transmission tunnel supposedly bear areas of the coded information.
From what we can glean from the British brand’s meandering press product, the customer who solves the cryptographic conundrum will be granted some sort of reward. Currently, only two men and women in the environment know the answer to the car’s code – Rolls Royce Bespoke designer Katrin Lehmann and company’s CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös.
Evidently, the answer has been placed in a sealed envelope and locked in the CEO’s business office at the brand’s headquarters in Goodwood, West Sussex. Prospective buyers can submit their attempts to crack the code to Rolls-Royce via a dedicated smartphone application.
