Nio signs stations agreement with Shell

Electric powered vehicle startup Nio has declared a strategic partnership with Shell, that incorporates a plan to set up 100 battery swapping stations in China by 2025 and build and run pilot stations in Europe from 2022.

Shell’s charging network in Europe will also become out there to Nio customers.

Nio and Shell will ‘continue to explore even further collaboration alternatives in battery asset administration, fleet administration, membership programs, house charging providers, highly developed battery charging and swapping technology advancement, and the building of charging services in China’.

Nio began providing cars to consumers in China in 2018, expanded income to Norway in 2021.

“This cooperation demonstrates Shell’s determination to accelerate the energy changeover and its determination to add to sustainable advancement globally,” reported William Li, founder, chairman and CEO of Nio. “We feel that the cooperation involving Nio and Shell will convey better providers and ordeals to electrical vehicle customers around the globe.”
